What is included in the Nexus Jurisdiction account alerts?

Overview

You are in the Admin Console and see that you have Nexus Jurisdiction account alerts, and would like to know what they are.

Resolution

  • These account alerts are generated when a change is made to your Nexus Jurisdictions on any of your companies and can include:

    • Adding/removing a state or country

    • Adding/removing a local jurisdiction

    • Changing the Tax Type of your Nexus (i.e. Sales Tax to Sales or Sellers Use)

    • Changing effective or end dates

  • This information is shown:

    • Nexus Jurisdiction Modified: how the nexus was set prior to change

    • CHANGES: Jurisdiction: how the nexus was set at update

      • Jurisdiction: jurisdiction name

      • Level: country, state, city, etc.

      • Country: country abbreviation (Jurisdiction Codes)

      • EffectiveDate: the first date nexus is active

      • EndDate: the last date nexus is active

      • Jurisdiction Type:

      • State: state where jurisdiction is located

      • Local Jurisdiction Type:
