How Do I Resolve Error Message: "407 Proxy?"

You are receiving a 407 error when you try to connect to our service.

Environment

Avalara AvaTax

Resolution 

 

Note: AvaTax does not use a proxy; all proxy errors are a result of your local network configuration.  The general solution is to ensure port 443 is open. Verify that the AvaTax domain is not blocked on your network and is resolving through public DNS servers.
