Why am I getting zero tax in SalesPad?

Overview

When I calculate tax in SalesPad for a Returns invoice it is returning a zero tax result
 
Environment
Avalara AvaTax
SalesPad
 
Resolution
  • Navigate to Nexus settings - Organization -> select company -> Nexus Jurisdiction
  • Select jurisdiction
  • Change the beginning date to when the original transaction took place
  • Click the orange "Save" button at the top right of the page
  • Recalculate tax in Salespad
 
Cause
Avalara only calculates tax within the date range set in Nexus
