Why am I getting a email does not exist when I try to reset password?

Overview

Whenever I attempt to reset my password I am receiving an error saying that my email does not exist in the system.

Avalara Avatax

Resolution

  • Have an Account Admin login and check your user setting to make sure that the correct email address is listed

Cause

This error arises when the email address that the password is trying to reset for doesn't currently exist in the system
