Release 6.0  

It is mandatory to Enable New Order Save Behavior feature into the respective Salesforce Org, before installing the Salesforce CPQ v6.0 (and above). To know more about the feature, click here.



  • Fixed an issue which causes Calculate Tax to fail, when Billing Connector is installed along with Salesforce CPQ.
  • Fixed an error which is blocking the pick list values (Salesforce Country and State codes) for AvaTax Customer Exemption Management feature.

Release 4.0  


  • Connector for Salesforce CPQ now uses the most up-to-date version of AvaTax Mapper. Make sure you're using AvaTax Mapper 1.67 to get all the benefits.
  • We've updated the label to Environment on the configuration field for choosing whether you're using a sandbox or production account.
  • You can now use the New Integration Point feature to edit line item queries.
  • The ISO code field no longer gets removed after customizing with AvaTax Mapper.

Release 3.2  


  • You no longer need to set up a special class in Salesforce CPQ to let users other than the initial one have permissions to use AvaTax. All users are now granted permissions.
  • AvaTax Mapper now only processes one query at a time.


  • Fixed an issue that caused errors to occur when running queue-able jobs.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented objects with more than 50,000 transactions from being displayed in AvaTax Mapper.

  • You can now validate individual addresses within a multi-entity company.
  • You can now enable automatic tax calculation on orders
  • Connector for Salesforce CPQ now directly integrates with Exemptions or CertCapture, which allows users to do the following from within Connector for Salesforce CPQ:
    • Edit certificate metadata
    • Add exemption certificate metadata to a certificate
    • Upload a certificate image
    • Add customer records to Exemptions or CertCapture in bulk
    • Add a customer record to Exemptions or CertCapture


  • The CPQConfig.xml file has been updated to support the addition of exemptions to Salesforce CPQ.
    If you’re upgrading from Connector for Salesforce CPQ 2.0 to Connector forSalesforce CPQ 3.0 or a later release, you used Avalara AvaTax Salesforce Mapper to make customizations, and you want to keep those customizations, use Avalara AvaTax Salesforce Mapper to merge the CPQConfig.xml file in the Connector for Salesforce CPQ 3.0 package with your local CPQConfig.xml file.

  • Apex Developers can now enable batch tax calculation


  • Installation and configuration have changed. Learn how to install and configure Salesforce CPQ now.
  • You can now test your connection to AvaTax and turn on address validation during configuration
  • Some fields in AvaTax configuration now have clearer names
  • AvaTax license keys and passwords are now hidden once they're entered in configuration
  • Optional lines on quotes are no longer sent to AvaTax
  • The address populated in the AvaTax tab for multi-entity configuration now pulls from the legal entity information within Salesforce CPQ
  • Address validation calls are no longer made for addresses outside the U.S. and Canada
  • Contracts now pass as sales orders and don't commit to AvaTax
  • You can now calculate tax on quotes
  • You can now use the AvaTax Mapper to configure tax calculation on orders and on quotes
  • The field for Avalara tax codes is now called Avalara Tax Code
