Reconcile transactions between AvaTax and Salesforce Billing

This article applies to:Connector for Salesforce Billing

Use the reconciliation utility to check for invoices, credit notes, and debit notes for which the information in Salesforce Billing doesn’t match the information in AvaTax.

Steps

  1. If you haven’t already, make the reconciliation utility available:
    1. In Salesforce Billing, go to Setup and then search for and select App Manager. 
      Lightning Experience App Manager opens.
    2. In the Salesforce Billing row, select the down arrow and then select Edit.
      App Manager opens.
    3. Select Reconciliation Utility in the Available Tabs list and then select Add to move it to Selected Tabs.
    4. Select Save.
  2. In Salesforce Billing, go to the Reconciliation Utility tab. You might have to select More to see the tab’s title.
  3. Select the date range of the transactions you want to reconcile, a transaction type if you want to limit reconciliation to one type, and the company of the transactions, and then select Fetch Details.

  4. Select transactions for which you want AvaTax to recalculate tax and then select Reconcile Transactions.
    When recalculation completes, a green checkmark displays in the Reconciliation Result column.

    Tip icon

    Transactions reconciled within 24 hours of being posted to AvaTax are not charged another usage when they are recalculated for reconciliation.
