Download AvaTax logs

Download the AvaTax logs and run a basic diagnostic to identify potential problems. The AvaTax log contains the request and response details. Access to logs is restricted by user accounts.

Note

It is recommended that you enable the logging option for the sandbox environment to avoid performance issues in your production environment.

Enable logging in AvaTax for Communications

  1. In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, go to Modules > Avalara AvaTax for Communications > Set up Avalara AvaTax for Communications > Other > Adapter Options.
  2. Select Enable logging.

Download logs in AvaTax for Communications

  1. In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, go to Modules > Avalara AvaTax for Communications > Utilities > AvaTax Logs.
  2. Select Download logs.
