Set up Avalara AvaTax to Map Item Name, Item Description

Map Item name and Item description fields of Avalara AvaTax with the equivalent fields of other integration apps

Set up Avalara AvaTax to map its Item name and Item description fields to the equivalent fields of QuickBooks' other integration app that your company uses.

Steps

  1. Sign in to AvaTax and Perform Initial Configurations if you have not done already.
  2. Go to Settings > Custom Fields.
  3. From the "Item name" maps to drop-down list, select the field name of QuickBooks' other integration app that is equivalent to the Item name field of AvaTax.
  4. From the "Item description" maps to drop-down list, select the field name of QuickBooks' other integration app that is equivalent to the Item description field of AvaTax.
  5. Click Apply to designate the selected fields for mapping.
