Validate an address in AvaTax for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Before you start validating addresses in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, review your settings. Go to Avalara AvaTax > Avalara AvaTax Configuration and select the Address Validation tab.
Follow the same process for:
- Customers
- Vendors
- Locations
- Companies
- On a company record, choose whether to validate the general address or the shipping address
Steps
- In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, select Navigate > Validate Address on a customer record.
- In the AvaTax Address Validation window, select Process > Validate Address.
- To accept the new address and update the record you're working on, click Accept. If the address doesn't validate, an error message displays describing why it failed validation.
