How do I report revenue without the Revenue by Marketplace feature?

Overview

You would like to know how to report revenue into your MyLodgeTax website if you have an account without the Revenue by Marketplace feature (for Commercial accounts).

Resolution

  • Go to www.mylodgetax.com and sign in with your username and password.
  • Click on the Orange “Report Revenue” button on the home page (or hover over "Taxes" in the top menu and click "Report revenue” in the drop-down menu).
  • Input the number of nights rented and your rental revenue for the period indicated.
  • If the revenue amount you entered includes tax, check the “Revenue Includes Tax” box.
  • If you have exempt revenue to enter, please see the How do I report exempt revenue into the MyLodgeTax website? FAQ for instructions on reporting exempt revenue.
  • If you have many properties to report for, you may choose to upload a spreadsheet with all of the property, date, nights rented, revenue, and exempt revenue information.
    • To do this, click the "Upload a spreadsheet" link and then click the "Download a spreadsheet template" link to get a template to complete with your information. 
      • Make sure the spreadsheet is saved as an Excel or .csv file and that the information is saved on the first sheet of the workbook.
    • Once you save the completed spreadsheet to your computer, click the "Choose File" button to choose the spreadsheet.
    • Next, click the "Upload" button to upload the spreadsheet.  If there are any errors, you will be notified of those errors to correct before attempting the upload again.
  • Once all reporting is complete for all properties, click “Continue”
  • Review the details of the tax payment due.
  • Click "Pay Now” – if you don’t click Pay Now, your revenue has not been submitted.
    • Our system will send you an email receipt which details your taxes and our fees. When you click "Pay Now", you will initiate the withdrawal from your bank account. The funds will be withdrawn from your bank account within the next three business days.
