Report types 

Description 

Use 

Entities 

Displays all your entities in Avalara License Management (ALM).  

Obtain a complete list of all business entities and their addresses. You can also include custom fields in the report to get complete information on all entity data. 

Locations 

Displays a list of locations entered in the application. 

Obtain a complete list of all company locations and addresses. You can use the Expiration date filter to view all locations with licenses that expire when you specify. 

Individuals 

Displays a list of individuals registered in the application. 

Create custom reports using the filtering criteria to classify individuals. 

Professionals 

Displays a list of professionals registered in the application.  

Create custom reports using the filtering criteria to classify professionals. 

Licenses 

Displays a list of all your licenses and their associated locations and entities.  

Create custom reports using the filtering criteria to classify licenses by specific region, state, county, entity, DBA, or license type. You can also create a custom report that assists you in the filing process and the renewals of each license using filing status, expiration date, due date, renewal type, and renewal frequency. You can use this report to export the information about authority existing in the system. 

Vehicles 

Displays a list of vehicles with registration information and service records for your company fleet.

Create custom reports using the filtering criteria to classify vehicles. 

Contracts 

Displays a list of all your service-oriented, supply, and vendor contracts.  

Create custom reports using the filtering criteria to classify contracts. 

Real estate 

Displays a list of all your real estate leases.  

Create custom reports using the filtering criteria to classify leases. 

Violations 

Displays a list of all violations associated with citations and failed inspections of your regulated business.  

Create custom reports using the filtering criteria to classify violations. 

Vendors 

Displays a list of all your vendors.  

Create custom reports using the filtering criteria to classify vendors. 

Transactions 

Displays all transactions stored in your application.  

Create custom financial reports according to your needs. Use this report to view the total cost of all licensing. Retrieve reports of licensing fees for the fiscal year, fees for licensing in specific areas, fees for a particular entity or GL account, fees for a specific payee, or fees for specific types of licenses. Additionally, you can use this report to check on penalty fees, interest fees, and fees using different payment methods and check requests. 

Open filings 

Displays all filings that are currently open.  

Work on filings and check their statuses for completing the filings. Check on filings managed by a particular user, filings that have been shipped to specific authorities, filings that are already due, or filings for a specific area. You can also download filing applications in ZIP format. 

Renewal fee forecast 

Displays a list of all filings with their most recent renewal fees.  

Create custom reports to view licenses with filings completed by a specific user or within a specific timeframe. You can use this report to forecast renewal fees. 

Licenses not associated with a Location 

Displays all licenses that have no locations associated with them.  

Retrieve reports on all licenses in a specific area, related to a particular entity, or managed by a specific user with no location. Use this report to ensure that all licenses are associated with a location. After adding new licenses, build custom reports to view groups of licenses that have not yet been associated with a location. 

Tasks 

Displays a list of all the tasks listed in the application.  

Include the Linked to field to see the entity, location, license, filing, or form to which the task is linked. Add filters to view tasks that are only assigned to yourself, that are linked to specific records, or that are due on a specified date. 

Filing applications 

Generates a ZIP file of all the filing applications you have previously uploaded to the system.  

Generate a ZIP file of all the filing applications for a specific location, a specific license, a single authority, or filings completed within a specific date range. Add filters to print only the applications that you need at a time. 

License certificates 

Generates a ZIP file of all the license certificates you have previously uploaded to the system.  

Generate a ZIP file of all licenses for a specific location, a specific license type, or licenses uploaded within a date range. Add filters to only print the applications that you need at a time. 

Audit  

Displays a list of actions taken by users in this account.  

Sort user activity by user, activity date, and record type. You can only access this report as a manager or administrator.
