Set up system alert preferences

This article applies to:

Use the system alerts preferences to set how many days before the expiration or due date an alert is displayed. By default, the application displays an alert for a record expiring or due in the next 30 days.

As a system administrator or manager, you can customize the alerts displayed on these tabs:

  • License
  • Batch
  • Contract
  • Real Estate
  • Violation

Important

The system alert preferences you define here are applied to all users in the application. However, an individual user can edit these settings in the User Alert Preferences section.

Steps

  1. From the Avalara License Management home page, select the drop-down arrow on the navigation bar, and then select Setup.
  2. Go to System Settings > System Alert Preferences
  3. Make the necessary changes in the different alerts section to get alerts about problems as per your business requirement.
For example, you can change the License Expiring Next X Days from 30 to 15 to get an alert about licenses that will expire in the next 15 days. You can also decide whether or not to include expired or expiring licenses with filings that have already been shipped.
  4. Select Save
