Avalara creates an error file if any errors occur while you import customer and exemption certificate data.
- If there are any issues importing a file of your customer and certificate data, a message displays indicating that some or all of the information in the file could not be imported.
- Select Download Error File (.XLSX) to download the error file spreadsheet.
- Open the file.
- Review the error messages in column W, Reason for Failure.
After you've corrected any issues with the file, import it again.
