Import transactions to Avalara Consumer Use

Avalara Consumer Use is an add-on for AvaTax. Adjust transactions in Avalara Consumer Use and then forward them to your AvaTax company to manage reports and returns. |
Before you begin
- Avalara Consumer Use saves transaction values and automatically populates empty fields based on your company defaults
- Always review your transaction processing settings before an import
Steps
- In Avalara Consumer Use, go to Transactions > Import Transaction Data.
- Select an import type, then select the download link that appears to download the template.
If you're using a custom import template, you can also select the Import Type Definition link to download a definition file, which tells you which columns are required and includes any notes you entered. - Copy transaction data from your business application to the template using the import template guidelines.
- Drag and drop the finished file into the upload field, or click Browse to select it for upload. Click Upload to start the import.
Finished uploads are found at Transactions > Import history. Imported transactions are added to Transactions > Process transactions.
