Steps
- Review your exempt customer records and verify you have a valid exemption certificate on file for each of them.
- Run a Sales Tax Exemption Certificate Report in AvaTax.
- Run a report in your business application that details customer records flagged as exempt and compare it the report from AvaTax.
- Send customers without valid exemption certificates a request for exemption certificates.
- Review your exemption certificates to manage missing, expired, soon-to-expire, and invalid compliance documents.
- Run a Sales Tax Exemption Certificate Report in AvaTax and look for documents that are expired or about to expire.
- Send customers with expired certificates a request for exemption certificates.

Select View All Exemptions to see all of your company's exemption certificates with ID, Issuing Region, Active Date, Expiration Date, and Status columns. |
