Use the Schedule Query Fields table to customize your Schedule Query Wizard view.  It removes unused fields from the field display selections, and adds or removes fields from the query Results grid.

Remove columns from Query Wizard display

For this example, I don't use the acres field in any records, so I might not want to scroll past it in the display column every time I create a new query.

  1. Click Maintenance > Schedule Query Fields.
  2. Click the Master Company Zero (0) row field name acres.

  3. Click the Override tab.
  4. Select No for the Display Indicator and click Insert.
  5. Close the window.  The grid now shows that your company record will override the Company 0 record.

  6. Acres is no longer a choice in the Available Columns list of Reporting > Schedule Query Wizard.

Change query grid view default fields

In this example, I want to add Activity Date to the default display in the Schedule Query Wizard Results grid.

  1. Click Maintenance > Schedule Query Fields.
  2. Click the row for Activity Date.
  3. Click the Override tab.
  4. Select Yes for the Default Indicator and click Insert.
  5. Close the window.  The grid now shows that your company record will override the Company 0 record.

  6. Activity Date is now a default column in the Results grid list of Reporting > Schedule Query Wizard.
  7. The changes only apply to new queries going forward.  They do not affect previously saved queries, or an open unsaved query.

Remove or edit override records

You can delete your own company's display settings and restore the default record back to Company 0.

  1. Click on the record row that you added for your company.
  2. Make changes on the Original tab and click Update.
  3. To remove the record click Delete.
  4. Deleting or making edits to a record will not affect the grid view of previously saved queries or an open unsaved query.

Assign custom fields

There are several open custom fields that can be renamed to your own identifier.

  1. Filter on custom_ in the field name.
  2. Click on a grid row.
  3. Click Override, change the Description and click Insert.
    • In the example, we used custom_string_01 as the Fuel Type for our records.
  4. Your custom field appears as your own Company, which overrides the Company 0 record.
  5. When using Schedules Query Wizard to display the field, use the Description from Available Columns.

Field name differences: import, query wizard, transaction entry

Field names do not always match across the import template, manual entry screen and schedule query wizard.  For example, the bill of lading may be referred to by the jurisdiction as purchase date.

  • Import Field Name -  used when importing schedules
  • Schedule Query Wizard Column - the name used to display and filter in query wizard
  • Transaction Entry Column Name - display name in Schedule Manual Entry

To find field names, use Express View.

  1. Click Reporting > Express View.
  2. Select Data Source > Fields in Schedules.
  3. To narrow your choices, you can select Jurisdiction and Taxpayer Type.
  4. Use the filter to use keywords that apply to the known field name.  In the example below, I know the field name from manual entry, and filter on 'blend' and need to identify it on a query.  All of these field names represent a single value in the schedule transaction.
