Excise Schedule Transaction Importer Tool

Update URL/address before May 7, 2021

Avalara emailed all Support Contacts and added an explanation in the Home page Message Center about URL/address changes. Here's how to make those changes for the Schedule Transaction Importer (STI) Tool.

Note: This does not apply to Self-HostedHoverTT.png customers.

  1. Click the Windows Start icon and type schedule transaction. Right click on the Schedule Transaction Importer and then click Open file location.

  2. Right click on the Schedule Transaction Importer and then click Properties at the bottom.

  3. Click Open File Location and in the File Explorer, move to the Configuration folder below.

  4. Replace the Old line with the New line:

Edit AppSettings.config with Notepad

Schedule Transaction Importer (STI) tool

Avalara Excise has two Schedule Transaction Importer (STI) methods for importing records:

  • The STI widget, built into the cloud-based Avalara Excise
  • The STI tool, an optional external application.

Additional fees

The STI tool is updated quarterly and routine version upgrades to custom scenarios, profiles and mappers are at no additional fee. Customization can be arranged with your Customer Account Manager or Professional Services Consultant.
