Introduction to VAT Expert

Drawing from its extensive online library of EU VAT regulations, Avalara VAT Expert gives companies the ability to identify the correct VAT treatment for a broad range of transactions. Powered by VAT content that covers all 400+ articles in the VAT Directive 2006/112/EC, local member state derogations, and wider international VAT determination. And because VAT Expert is a cloud-based solution that requires no integration with in-house systems, it’s fast and easy to use.

During a simulation, you may use non-existing company names and real names for an invoice. Whether you’re creating a simulation or an invoice, you're able to find which VAT obligations, legislation codes for return reports, or tax exemptions may apply to your specific transaction.
