Accessing your account and resetting passwords

This guide will help with questions related to account access and passwords.

I cannot find the login portal for VAT Returns, where can I log in?

To login to Avalara VAT Returns, head to this page. You will need your email/username and password to log in.

I need to reset my password, how do I do that?

If you are having trouble logging into Avalara VAT Returns, head to this page and click Forgot password. On the next page, enter your email address and click Request reset, you will then be sent an email prompting you to reset your password.

Please note, the reset password email will expire after 6 hours, a new link will need to be generated if you do not reset your password within 6 hours.

My password reset link has expired, how do I generate a new one?

If you do not use a password reset link within 6 hours it will expire, however, it's simple to request an additional reset link, just follow the reset password process again to generate another link via email.

I have reset my password, but have not been directed back to the correct login page?

When you successfully complete a password reset you will be directed to log back in via this page. To access Avalara VAT Returns, click the Avalara VAT Returns link to log in.

I cannot see the email to reset my password?

Make sure you are using the same email address that you used to create your account, you may also want to check your email spam folder as the email may have ended up there.

I have checked all of the FAQs on this page but still cannot access my account, what should I do?
