  • Added self-provisioning feature. This feature lets new users create an AvaTax account and company with various paid plan options

April 16, 2015

  • Avalara release 3.0
  • For existing customers, tokens will now be renewed automatically after 160 days.
  • Email notification for invalid token will now be sent once an hour. Prior to this release, an email was sent once in every 2 minutes
  • Tax will now be calculated for documents even if the connector service is unavailable. Such documents will be processed after the connector service resumes
  • Support for Canadian address validation
  • Address validation feature is now configurable
  • A company has one registered email ID associated with it. If you try to associate another email ID, then the registered email ID will be replaced by this new email ID. Remember to use the latest ID when you login to AvaTax for QuickBooks Online
  • Enhanced email notification sent for address validation error. The email notification will now have customer name, address details, document number (with a link to the actual document) and the error details in a table
