This article applies to:CertCapture
If you need to change the exposure zones associated with a certificate after validating it, use the Revalidate option to create a copy of the document with the adjusted exposure zones.
Steps
- In CertCapture, search for the document you want to revalidate.
- Select the certificate ID from the search results.
The Certificate Details page opens. - Select the Revalidate button.
- In the message that appears, choose one of the following options:
- Invalidate and Copy: The current certificate is marked as invalid, and a new copy is created in Manage Documents > Validate Documents.
If you select this option for a multijurisdictional certificate, all regions associated with the multijurisdictional certificate are invalidated. - Copy: The current document is not changed, and a copy is created in Manage Documents > Validate Documents.
If the current certificate is valid, selecting this option can result in having multiple valid certificates on file for the same customer after you validate the new certificate.
- Invalidate and Copy: The current certificate is marked as invalid, and a new copy is created in Manage Documents > Validate Documents.
- Select Resubmit for Validation.
A copy of the document is sent to the validation queue, under Manage Documents > Validate Documents. Navigate to that section to validate it with the adjusted details.
